Beaver benefiting THON
THON is a yearlong, student-run initiative dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Each February, the culmination of a year’s worth of fundraising efforts takes place during a 46-hour dance marathon at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State University Park. This incredible event brings together students, pediatric cancer patients and their families for a weekend of fun, inspiration and stories of courage.
As the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, THON has raised over $236 million since 1977 for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The funds support pediatric cancer patients, their families, and groundbreaking cancer research. THON’s impact extends far beyond the dance floor, providing hope, joy and a community united in the fight against pediatric cancer.
