Congratulations! This is an exciting time for you as you prepare to come to Penn State Beaver. Your offer of admission is a big part of that journey, but your job isn't over. Now that you have your offer letter in hand, there are several steps you need to take, starting with accepting the offer.
Accept Your Offer
You can accept your offer of admission by logging onto your MyPennState account at mypennstate.psu.edu or by visiting campus and paying your acceptance fee at the Finance and Business office.
Acceptance fee: $230
Housing deposit: $100 and sign your housing contract. Note: The housing deposit is only for students who plan to live on campus.
Now what?
Once you've accepted your offer of admission, there are some other things listed below that you'll need to take care of before you begin classes at Penn State Beaver. Those things and other items are listed in our What's Next brochure. If you haven't received a copy it, you should get that soon. Or you can view and download it online.
Attend an Accepted Student Program
You and your family are invited to attend one of our Accepted Student Programs this spring. The programs are designed to answer your questions and tell you what to expect now through the start of the fall semester.
Apply for financial aid
There's plenty of information in the financial aid section of this website on how to apply for and accept your financial aid award.
- To fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), go to studentaid.gov.
- Watch this financial aid video to help you understand your award package.
Apply for scholarships
You can find information on our scholarship pages and by searching the Internet.
Orientation
First-year students are required to participate in New Student Orientation (NSO), which will help you get ready to attend Penn State Beaver. You'll receive detailed information ahead of time, so check your email.
Update your calendar
First day of classes? Long weekends? Spring break? December-January holidays? Find out more about all important dates on the academic calendar.
Buy your books
You can get your books and your Penn State gear at the Penn State Beaver bookstore, located on the lower level of the Student Union Building.
Get your computer software
As a Penn State student, you're eligible for free and discounted computer software. To see what's available, visit www.it.psu.edu/software.
