Penn State Beaver maintains a university police department that provides services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with at least one police officer on duty at all times.
Penn State University police officers are certified by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission. They have the same authority as municipal police officers in Pennsylvania and are required to have the same basic police training, first aid training, and annual in-service training required for municipal police.
The Penn State Beaver Police Services Office is the brick building located behind the Student Union Building and the Brodhead Bistro. If you wish to speak with a police officer immediately and an officer is not in the building, please call 724-773-3888 (or 3888 from a campus phone).
If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or use one of the campus call boxes, which are located outside the Police Services Office, the Ross Administration Building, the library, and the gymnasium.
Police assistance and information is available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at any time, including all holidays.
