In today's world of complex information systems, there has never been a better time to work in cyber security. It is the responsibility of everyone in an organization to have, at minimum, a foundational understanding of security issues and vulnerabilities. Penn State Beaver's Cyber Security Certificate is designed to provide security training, no matter what your level of experience. The program is ideal for industry professionals looking to upgrade their skills or individuals looking to change careers.
This four-hour, online, synchronous course is designed to help you to understand security compliance considerations, social engineering, malware, and various other data security-related concepts. In this course, you will explore the hazards and pitfalls and learn how to use technology safely. You will identify the need for security, secure devices and secure your use of the internet.
In this 40-hour, online, synchronous course, students will describe the major networking technologies and systems of modern networks and be able to configure, manage and troubleshoot modern networks. This course will help the student prepare for the N10-006 exam and certification.
In this 40-hour, online, synchronous course, students will implement, monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, information and operational security. Students will prepare for the CompTIA Security+ certification examination (SY0-401).
Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH)
This 40-hour, online, synchronous course, will cover 270 attack technologies commonly used by hackers. Throughout the CEH course you will be immersed in a hacker’s mindset, evaluating not just logical, but physical security.

Individuals who register for the entire 124-hour program will receive a discount of $3,640.

**Cancellations and Refunds
Payment is due upon registration. Registration cancellations with a full refund will be accepted until one week prior to the first class. After that, the individual may be held responsible for registration and fees. The University may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances.
