On the Beaver campus, half of all STEM professors are female. That’s much better than the national average. But even those promising statistics can’t mask the larger problem — females are still underrepresented in the STEM disciplines.
More than 50 Penn State Beaver students received their diplomas on Friday evening (May 6) in business, administration of justice, biology, communications, history, information sciences and technology, mathematics and psychology.

Penn State Beaver baseball defeated Penn State Schuylkill 18-4 on Sunday to claim the Penn State University Athletic Conference championship. Beaver, which came into the conference tournament as the No. 5 seed, squeaked by Penn State Brandywine on Friday and defeated Penn State DuBois and Schuylkill on Saturday before winning the title.

Beginning April 16, about 20 Penn State Beaver students will build a city of cardboard boxes in downtown Beaver and live there for 48 hours, sleeping on the ground and begging for money, all in the name of homelessness awareness. All proceeds will benefit area homeless shelters.
