Penn State leaders turn careful eye toward administrative costs

A comparison of administrative costs across the Big Ten shows proportional growth in faculty and staff ranks at Penn State, as well as an “outstanding ratio of students to administrators and staff.” The results, while not the only data being evaluated, point to an efficient use of resources at Penn State, which leaders say will continue to be monitored.

Campus Career Closet seeks year-round donations

The Penn State Beaver Office of Career Services is seeking year-round donations for its Career Closet, a program that provides free, professional apparel for male and female students seeking internships and/or jobs. Clean, gently-used or new clothing and other professional accessories are requested. In turn, the donations will be given to students planning to enter the workforce but in need of professional attire. Courses for personal care home training begin in January

In January, the Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education will begin another series of educational programs for health care professionals who are preparing to become personal care home administrators and/or administrators and direct-care staff who must meet continuing education requirements. Individuals providing elder care for family members are also welcome to register.
