Penn State Beaver Outstanding Alumnus Award
The annual Penn State Beaver Outstanding Alumnus Award recognizes campus alumni who have distinguished themselves through career achievement, community involvement, and/or involvement with Penn State Beaver.
The award is presented each January at a dinner meeting of the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society and the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board. The award recipient must be able to attend the awards dinner.
Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to individuals who attended Penn State Beaver for one or more years and who graduated from Penn State University.
Criteria
Consideration will be given to alumni on the basis of their professional achievement, contributions to society, and involvement with Penn State Beaver.
Nominations
Nominations are solicited from alumni, the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society, the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board, the Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, campus faculty and staff, and the public.
Selecting Body
The selecting body will be composed of the Penn State Beaver director of development, two members of the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society Board of Directors, and two members of the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board.
Award
The award will be a medal, statue, and/or plaque as determined by campus administrators.
Calendar
Nominations are solicited and the winner selected in the fall.
