When planning your visit, you'll find that the Pittsburgh International Airport's website, flypittsburgh.com, is a very useful tool.
Once you arrive, you'll need to rent a car or go to the taxi stand outside of the land-side terminal. Ride shares such as Lyft and Uber are also available there.
Traveling by train
If you choose to travel by train, the closest Amtrak station is located in Pittsburgh at 1100 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. This station is approximately 40 minutes southwest of Beaver campus. Unfortunately, there is no direct bus or shuttle service available from the train station to the campus, so we strongly recommend that you arrange for a rental car or taxi. To learn more about purchasing an Amtrak ticket, please visit Amtrak’s website.
Traveling by bus
If you chose to travel by bus, a Greyhound station is located at the Pittsburgh Intermodal Station at 55 Eleventh Street, Pittsburgh, PA 1222. Renting a car
After arriving in the Pittsburgh area, we highly recommend that you arrange to rent a car to get to and from campus as well as to explore the area around campus. You can find several car rental companies near baggage claim in the land-side terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport. More information and a current list of companies are available on the flypittsburgh.com.
Taxis and ride-shares
If you choose to travel to the campus by taxi, you'll be able to obtain one at the airport by exiting on the lower level of the land-side terminal through the commercial doors. In order to return to the airport from the campus, you'll need to schedule a taxi in advance. Information is available on flypittsburgh.com.
Another option is SuperShuttle, a share-a-ride service that is often less expensive than a taxi. You can make a reservation or get pricing on SuperShuttle's website.
