University regulations and the Motor Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are enforced and in effect at all times at Penn State Beaver.
General Parking and Traffic Information
Parking permits are transferable and can be used on any vehicle the student, faculty, or staff member may be driving. You may register more than one vehicle, however, only one permit will be issued. Parking permits must be clearly and appropriately displayed at all times. Note: Housing and Food Services should be notified of changes in vehicle type or registration.
- Campus speed limit is 15 mph.
- Come to a complete stop at all stop signs.
- Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
All vehicle accidents on campus must be reported immediately to University Police at 724-773-3888. Police officers will respond and complete a police accident report if necessary.
Operating or parking vehicles on grassy areas or walkways designed for pedestrian use is not permitted.
Unless specifically lined for parking, the area should be considered a "Fire Lane" or "No Parking Zone" (for example, along the side of any road or driveway on campus).
Unloading Zone: Flashers are required for vehicles unloading in any of these areas, and vehicles must be moved immediately following the unloading.
The University reserves the right to tow any illegally parked vehicle at the owner's expense.
Registered students are never considered "visitors" and will be ticketed if parked in a designated "Visitors Parking" area or not showing a valid parking permit.
Only vehicles bearing official handicapped or disabled veteran license plates, or a handicapped placard, may park in designated handicapped spaces. University medical permits are not authorization to use handicapped spaces.
University "Parking/Traffic Violation" fines are only payable online or through the Housing and Food Services Office. Fines collected for parking violations are put in the Student Government Association treasury. The fine amounts are listed on the ticket and below on this page.
All tickets issued from the Motor Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be filed with the local district magistrate. Applicable state fines and costs will then apply.

To protect your vehicle and your property, lock your car whenever you leave it. Do not leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle (e.g., on the seat). Lock all valuables in the trunk of your vehicle.
