Penn State Beaver Summer Camps Celebrate a Season of Success
Over 500 youth participated in sports, STEM, arts, and new high school programming on our beautiful campus in Monaca, PA.
This summer, Penn State Beaver welcomed over 500 young campers to campus for one of the most successful seasons yet. With a wide range of academic and athletic programs, campers engaged in hands-on learning, creativity, and fun.
A Full Slate of Opportunities
Campers had the opportunity to dive into a wide variety of interests through a diverse schedule of programs that included:
- Sports camps in basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and esports
- STEM camps such as robotics and science
- Creative camps including art, cooking, and musical theater
- Fan-favorite specialty camps, such as Wizardry and Mythical Creatures
- A brand-new Criminal Justice Camp for high school students
The Criminal Justice Camp, a standout new addition, gave high school students a behind-the-scenes look into careers in law enforcement and the legal system. With presentations from local attorneys, police officers, and legal professionals, campers engaged in hands-on activities, mock investigations, and real-world discussions about criminal justice.
Camp Highlights
The success of the camps is reflected in the feedback from students and families:
- “So happy we signed up this year — they loved it!”
- “My daughter loved it and is now inspired to cook at home.”
- “Best camp! This is our second year attending. Our children leave this camp with skills and excitement about cooking — from scratch — to fuel their boldness!”
- “We love this camp! It’s the highlight of my son’s summer. He comes home tired in the best way every day.”
- “Exceeded expectations!”
- “This is our third child attending this camp and each has enjoyed it every year.”
Families raved about the fun, learning, and dedicated staff and return year after year, saying the camps are a summer highlight.
A Season to Remember
Penn State Beaver’s summer camps continue to make a meaningful impact, building confidence, curiosity, and community connection among youth from across the region. Whether learning to code, perfecting a volleyball spike, or mixing potions in Wizardry Camp, participants left with new skills, friendships, and a deeper connection to learning.
