Constitution Day, Sept. 17, will be marked with several events at Penn State campuses across the commonwealth. Established by law in 2004, Constitution Day is a federal observance that commemorates the U.S. Constitution on the day it was signed in 1787. Sept. 17 is also National Voter Registration Day.
Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) has named 15 recipients of the 2025 Faculty Engagement Awards with this year’s theme of “Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Teaching including Microsoft Copilot 365.” Recipients will collaborate with TLT to experiment with AI-driven tools to support course planning, content design and instructional delivery.

An Iridium satellite, flight model SV100, now hangs above the atrium stairwell in the Ross Administration Building. The satellite, donated by iridium and Penn State alum Walt Everetts, will serve as a teaching tool and catalyst to create interest in aerospace engineering.
Penn State Beaver graduate Lizbet Minchala recently earned her master's degree in logistics and supply chain management from the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University through the Football Scholars program. She's staying in Scotland with a plan to find a job and continue playing soccer.
The high tunnel at Penn State Beaver — a hoop-like greenhouse that offers enough protection from the elements for hearty flowers to be grown and plants to be overwintered during the cold weather — was covered with new plastic for the first time since it was originally constructed in 2018.
