On-campus jobs
Athletics
Paraprofessional: Service to professional staff in areas of inter-collegiate athletics: intramurals free play hours, supervision of gym, field/court/gym maintenance, equipment set up/repair, laundry work, training activities.
Beaver Valley LaunchBox
Administrative Assistant: This job includes managing management office activities such as actively checking and responding to client email and inquiries, updating task and event tracking spreadsheets, maintaining an organized Google Drive, assisting in scheduling client meetings, and organizing webinars/workshops/events.
Social Media Assistant: This job includes managing social media and remaining consistently active across each LaunchBox platform (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram), potentially creating posts (written and graphic content), checking and responding to notifications, posting content, and engaging with followers.
Brodhead Bistro
Student Worker: Dish room, line cooking, prep, general cleaning.
Career and Counseling Office
Assistant: Create and distribute marketing materials; technical support using the Career Services Canvas pride group; data analytics; update/create/maintain job posting materials; assist with planning workshops and events (virtual and in-person when appropriate); and general clerical duties. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Google products desirable.
Center for Academic Achievement
Assistant: Assist CAA coordinator in special projects; organize/maintain CAA records and supplies; maintain peace and order in center; liaise with campus offices and departments; limited oversight of greeters/tutors; assist greeters w/problems.
Book Guardian: Student will stay in the textbook library vicinity and secure books from theft; maintain regular inventory of books; tidy shelves; check books out to students; collect overdue fines; email late notices to borrowers; other duties as assigned.
Greeter: Greet students at front desk; input student information into spreadsheet; answer phone and walk-in inquiries; make appointments for professional tutors; connect students with tutors; maintain security of center materials.
Peer Tutor: Tutor individuals and/or small groups; maintain weekly schedule for appointments; keep accurate and timely records using relevant forms; maintain contact with instructors for course materials; attend training; other duties as assigned.
Classroom Support
Classroom Technical Assistant: Duties include sitting in on face-to-face classes to assist faculty with broadcasting to and/or recording for remote student. Students must be available the days/times of the classes needed.
Continuing Education
Aid: Duties include phone/office coverage, copying materials, data entry, filing, mailings. Must be able to type efficiently and have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible schedule to accommodate your course schedule.
Enrollment Services
Student Worker: Responsible for greeting prospective students/parents in person and via phone in support of Admissions and Student Aid. Manage multiple tasks such as correspondence and inventory of materials. Will also support Advising and Registration. Position requires computer skills and a positive attitude.
Information Technology
Assistant: The student will be responsible for inventory of technology, analyzing computers, printers, and networked devices, and providing Level 1 support on the campus IT Help Desk.
Library
Clerk: Process library materials for students, faculty & staff; shelve library materials; maintain paper reserves in copier & printers; special projects as applicable. Federal Work-Study students only. Hours Available: Days
Maintenance
Student Worker: General campus maintenance including mowing, weeding, policing, snow removal based on seasonal needs. Morning grounds maintenance to include trash pickup and assist in room setups. Positions available: fall, spring and summer.
Student Activities
Assistant: Student will assist with the planning, advertising, and implementation of campus events sponsored by Student Activities Office and Campus Activities Team. Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher and/or Canva to create advertisements is preferred. Must be available approximately 10 hours per week Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Will work around class schedule. In addition, must be available for evening and weekend campus events upon request.
Student Farm
Student Worker: Have fun and learn by working in our all-season growing venture. Roles include ensuring safety and product quality while experiencing hands-on learning with farm production, harvesting, marketing/community engagement and more. Previous experience is welcome but not necessary. Work is primarily outdoors with some computer-based work including record keeping and blogging.
