College is about more than classes. It's about creating memories, discovering new places, and building friendships. Penn State Beaver's hosted off-campus trips give students the opportunity to experience some of the best attractions in western Pennsylvania while traveling with fellow Penn Staters.
Located just 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, Penn State Beaver is surrounded by exciting sports, entertainment, museums, festivals, shopping, and outdoor adventures, making it the perfect home base for unforgettable experiences.
What Can You Expect?
Throughout the year, Student Affairs & Engagement hosts a variety of trips, examples of past trips include:
- Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Games. Experience America's pastime at beautiful PNC Park.
- Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Games. Cheer on the Penguins during the NHL season.
- All-U Day at University Park. Join thousands of Penn State students for one of the University's largest traditions at Beaver Stadium.
- Arts & Entertainment. Attend theater performances, concerts, and seasonal festivals.
- Regional Attractions. Visit destinations like Kennywood, Heinz History Center, Phipps Conservatory, Carnegie Museums, the Pittsburgh Strip District, The Rink at PPG, and many other exciting locations throughout the year.
Register for Campus Events
Ready to Join the Fun? Signing up for campus events is quick and easy! To reserve your spot, both steps below must be completed.
Step 1: Register for Your Event. Complete the online registration form for the event you would like to attend.
Fall 2026 Off-Campus Trips – Fill out form.
Your registration is not complete until Step 2 has also been finished.
Step 2: Submit Your Payment. Campus is cashless. Cash payments are not accepted.

- Debit and credit cards accepted
- Secure online payment
- Payment is required to reserve your spot (unless the event is listed as free)
Failure to complete the payment will result in your spot for the trip being forfeited to the next student.

Student Conduct
All participants are expected to follow the Penn State Off-Campus Misconduct Policy.
The Code applies to each Student for behavior that occurs while they are a student, regardless of when the behavior is reported.
