Even before taking the reins as Penn State’s 19th president this month, Neeli Bendapudi has spent much of the spring traveling across the commonwealth on her listening tour of the University’s campuses.
The Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses has recognized two faculty members from across Penn State with the Jack P. Royer Active and Collaborative Learning Award.
Penn State Beaver Professor of Communications John Chapin has been awarded the 2022 Crime Victims Research Award. The award, from the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime, was given to Chapin April 29 at the National Crime Victims’ Service Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Penn State's sexual misconduct climate survey will close on April 22. The survey was sent to a random sample of students at all Penn State campuses; students can check their Penn State email for a link to complete the survey. The University-wide survey is designed to assess issues of sexual assault, misconduct and harassment.
Beaver Valley LaunchBox is celebrating Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC at Penn State Beaver by holding a panel discussion event by successful women entrepreneurs.
Acclaimed author Thomas Mullen will speak March 31 during a special presentation open to the Penn State Beaver community. Mullen will speak about his debut novel, “Last Town on Earth,” which takes place during the 1918 flu pandemic. The event, which will take place via Zoom, will begin at 7 p.m.
Books are being collected at Penn State Beaver for Rochester Elementary to commemorate National Library Week. Donations of essential school supplies are also being collected for the elementary students.
Penn State colleges, campuses and units can still apply for Second-Year Enrichment Grants. Provided by the University, the grants are intended to fund programs that will support current second-year students in transitioning to a full on-campus experience.
