With the coronavirus putting our country on lockdown, we have nowhere we can go now with a stay at home order in place. We can’t come to campus, so we get to stay home and have the rest of our semester online.
I see this as a double-edged sword. On the one hand, I don’t have to get up an hour before my first class. Instead, I get to wake up at noon every day and get started on my work.
On the other hand, the distractions are a problem; there are a lot of things I enjoy doing in my room other than classwork. There have been many times that I have gotten distracted and did something else. Though that may be a problem, I can also use this experience to make sure I can reset my attention span, as it isn’t that good.
I have most of my classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, with a late class on Thursdays and one that also meets on Fridays. With that, I have all of Tuesday off as well. This is either a day for me to relax, or a day for me to catch up on work I’m behind on.
Other than that, there isn’t much else to do at home for me, but I actually enjoy that. I don’t need to be going somewhere every day.
