
Biography
Daniel Smith, associate teaching professor of business, teaches Project Management, Corporate Strategy, Contemporary Issues in Management, Professional Selling, Negotiation for Business Professionals, Preparation for the Business Internship. He is also the Business Internship Program Coordinator.
Smith blends his management consulting and financial experience as well as his global perspective into real-world applications in his classroom to teach his students skills including project management, strategic planning, professional selling and business negotiations skills.
He uses integrative, real-world, hands-on case studies and group projects to teach his students a variety of business skills including group dynamics, communication, management and leadership. In their senior year, business students participate in the Penn State Start-Up Project, a multi-disciplinary project team.
His classes prepare students for a future a variety of fields including:
