Penn State announces Global Programs Travel Grants 2017 competition results

Global Programs' fall 2017 travel grants have been awarded in three grant categories: Faculty Travel Grants, Transformational Travel Grants, and Graduate Student Travel Grants. Based on the review committees’ evaluations and recommendations, 30 applicants were selected for funding support. The awardees will travel to 19 countries on four continents.

On the EDGE: Beaver launches virtual international exchange program

The EDGE program connects Penn State Beaver classes with classes around the world through the use of technology. Known as “virtual international exchange,” EDGE affords its participants the opportunity for global thinking and collaboration, particularly among place-bound and less-resourced students.

Will Taylor, an Americorps VISTA intern at Penn State Behrend, and Ashlyn Kelly, a senior at the college, paint a hallway at the Lodge on Sass, a transitional housing shelter in Erie. A total of 50 Penn State students contributed to service projects in Erie on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
