The Hendrickson Engineering Award is a $1,000 award available to exemplary engineering students at Penn State Beaver who will be in their fourth semester of study.
Essays from eligible students must be submitted to the Student Aid Office by January 31, and the award is made the following January.
Eligible students must have a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and must submit an essay of no more than 400 words, double-spaced, that identifies their accomplishments and demonstrates their suitability as an award recipient. In addition, students must be in their second year in the College of Engineering and plan to declare an engineering major in the Entrance-to-Major procedure.
Essays must be received in the Student Aid Office by January 31. Essays may be dropped off in the Office of Admissions and Student Aid, sent via email to Justin Vorbach, director of enrollment and admissions, or mailed to:

The selection will be made by a five-member committee consisting of faculty members in the disciplines of engineering, mathematics, and science.
If no qualified student is identified by the committee in any particular year, the award monies will be held and combined with the next year's award.
