Working through the Penn State Corporate Engagement Center, Barnes & Noble College has awarded $165,000 in grants to support 11 initiatives across the University. The grants support a range of colleges, campuses and units to advance programs where Penn State and Banes & Noble share mutual interest.
Heaven Bowman, a senior and biology major, is one of several students who was paired with a Penn State alumnus as part of a new mentorship program on campus in cooperation with the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board.
In alignment with the recent announcement from the White House on federal vaccination requirements, all Penn State employees at all locations are now subject to a federal COVID-19 vaccination requirement. The deadline for employees to receive their final dose of a vaccine is Jan. 4, 2022
Penn State Beaver thanks the veterans who are part of our campus community. There will be a special table from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Bistro with information about the branches of the service. A local veteran who served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War will also be there to talk to people.
Beaver students are invited to enter the Lion's Den, an annual idea competition designed to foster innovation on campus. The competition is part of the University-wide Global Entrepreneurship Week.

The Nittany Lion Shrine basks in the early morning sunlight on a crisp, autumn day. The shrine, cut from a 13-ton block of limestone by Heinz Warneke and Joseph Garatti, was dedicated in October of 1942 and celebrated it's 77th birthday Oct. 24.
