This small forest patch in front of the Gary B. Keefer Wellness Center at Penn State Beaver is one of 11 patches that were planted in the Beaver County area as part of The Patch Project, a joint effort between the campus and non-profit organization Reforest Our Future. Biology students at the campus planted the patches and are monitoring their growth.

Students from Beaver County high schools participate in an activity that shows how a virus can spread with and without the use of vaccines during a career day event at Penn State Beaver. The session was led by biology and health policy administration faculty and gave students a chance to learn about majors and possible careers in those fields.

The Keystone Animal Diagnostic Center at Penn State Beaver is the first new facility added to Pennsylvania’s animal diagnostic laboratory system in more than three decades, expanding access to testing and diagnostic services in western Pennsylvania.
