Provost, VP for Commonwealth Campuses officially open Beaver high tunnel

Provost Nick Jones and Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses Madlyn Hanes joined Penn State Beaver faculty and students to officially open the campus high tunnel. The tunnel, which was funded by a University seed grant, will support Beaver's campus-supported agriculture subscriptions and the local Salvation Army food bank.

Students, staff from three campuses raise grant-funded high tunnel at Beaver

Students and staff from three Penn State campuses raised a high tunnel at Penn State Beaver this summer. The tunnel, funded by a Penn State seed grant, will allow the campus to grow fresh produce year-round to supply CSAs, the campus food pantry, and the Salvation Army.

Local nonprofit funds scholarship at Penn State Beaver

Penn State Beaver has received a $50,000 award from Lincoln Learning Solutions that creates a scholarship endowment to support need-based financial aid for academically-qualified students. Recipients of the scholarships made possible by this gift must be majoring in a degree program that focuses on science, technology, engineering or math.

UHS to collect student health insurance information for 2017-18

Penn State is moving toward a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2018-19 academic school year. In preparation for the new requirement, University Health Services (UHS) will begin collecting student health insurance information in May 2017.
