Information Sciences and Technology (ISSCC) students must successfully complete a professional internship in business, industry, or the public sector.
Baccalaureate degree: Students must complete at least one internship and have the opportunity to complete up to three. Each requires a minimum of 300 hours of work.
Through a network of companies such as FedEx Ground, Bayer, and Nova Chemicals, Inc., these paid internships provide students with an opportunity not only to gain practical experience but to make valuable contacts within the industry. Also, in order to fulfill this requirement, students may obtain unpaid internships for local non-profit organizations.
