Academics

Penn State Beaver offers several baccalaureate degrees, minors, and certificates that can be earned here. Students who want to major in most of Penn State's other 275 majors can start at Beaver then transition to another campus for their last two years.

Outstanding Athletics

Athletics plays a vital role on our campus, with one in eight students playing on a varsity or club team. Our successful program boasts more than 20 national and conference championships over the last decade. In addition, the athletics department offers a variety of intramural and fitness activities, allowing everyone to find something they enjoy doing.

Affordability

We know families carefully consider the value of the investments they make, and education is no exception. Penn State Beaver prides itself in partnering with students and families to help meet their needs, from academics to student engagement and affordability. Students may qualify for financial aid programs that ease the financial burden associated with completing a college degree.

Explore Western Pennsylvania

There are many things to do in western Pennsylvania. The city of Pittsburgh, with and all of its entertainments, is only a 40-minute drive away, so it's easy to take advantage of everything it has to offer. Take in a football or hockey game featuring the world-champion Steelers or Penguins. Check out the dinosaurs at the Carnegie Museum, the soup can paintings at the Andy Warhol Museum, or the IMAX theater at the Carnegie Science Center. Outside of Pittsburgh, our area offers numerous parks, challenging hiking and mountain biking trails, shopping, theaters, and a historic amusement park.
