Penn State Beaver maintains a police department that provides services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with at least one police officer on duty at all times. The department's staff consists of six full-time police officers.
Penn State University police officers are certified by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission. They have the same authority as municipal police officers in Pennsylvania and are required to have the same basic police training, first aid training, and annual in-service training required for municipal police.
The Penn State Beaver Police Services Office is the brick building located behind the Student Union Building and the Brodhead Bistro. If you wish to speak with a police officer immediately or in person and an officer is not in the building, please use the call box located at the building's front door, or call University Police directly. Additional police call boxes are located outside the front doors of the Ross Administration Building, the library, and the gymnasium.
Police assistance and information is available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, including all holidays.
