Gov. Tom Wolf was on Penn State Beaver’s campus –- just miles from the eventual location of a multi-billion-dollar ethane cracker plant –- to meet with area government, education and business leaders about the opportunities and challenges presented by the plant’s arrival.
As part of New Student Orientation, Penn State Beaver’s Class of 2020 will join community members and artists in Aliquippa to paint wooden pallets, which will then be affixed to broken windows and doors, turning a few blighted city blocks along Franklin Avenue into a sea of form and color.
This fall, Penn State Beaver students will be allotted 175 printed pages per semester. At other campuses where the policy was implemented, only 10 percent of students have exceeded this limit.
