Transfer Admission to Penn State Beaver
Admission to Beaver campus is possible after applicants have completed 18 semester hours of credit. Most programs require a minimum grade-point average of 2.5, although students who have a grade-point average of 2.0 or above may be considered. Programs in engineering and sciences typically require a cumulative average of at least 2.5, and education programs require a cumulative average of 3.0. Certain programs may also require the completion of prerequisite courses. Some programs may not be available to transfer students. See individual listings under academic requirements for details.
Transfer Admission to Penn State University Park
For admission to University Park campus, applicants must have completed two years of college-level work and have strong academic records. Certain programs have more stringent grade-point average requirements and may also require completion of prerequisite courses. Some programs may not be available to transfer students. Students who request a degree program to be completed at University Park, but who have less than two years of study, will be referred to a campus location, such as Beaver campus, to complete the necessary coursework for a change of location, typically in the junior year.
