Application Workshops
Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, 9 a.m.-Noon, & Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Admissions Office

Let us help you apply to Penn State. Complete your application and those applying to Penn State Beaver may receive a decision on the spot. The $50 applicaiton fee will be waived. Financial aid information and campus tours will be available.

To receive an immediate admissions decision, applicants must bring their official high school transcripts to the Application Workshop. Once paid, application fees cannot be refunded.

Registration is not required.

 

Financial Aid Workshop
Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, 6:30 p.m., Student Union Building

Parents and students will learn how to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Discover what types of aid for which you might qualify, including grants, loans, and scholarships. We'll even help you navigate around potential pitfalls as you finance your college education.

Advance registration is requested.

Be a PSU Student for a Day
Wednesdays, Feb. 10 & March 17, 2010, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Student Union Building Lodge

Spend a day as a college student. Attend class and enjoy a free lunch with current Penn State Beaver students. Choose among classes you'd like to attend, including accounting, business, calculus, chemistry, economics, engineering, psychology, sociology, and more. (Course offerings may vary.)

Students can meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor and submit an application, if desired.

Space is limited, so please register early. Advance registration is required.

Presidents Day Application Workshop
Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Admissions Office

Accepted Student Dinner
Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, 4 p.m., Student Union Building

Meet with faculty, staff, and students over dinner and learn more about the steps you'll need to take between your offer of admission and your first day of class. You'll even be able to pay your acceptance fee while you're here.

The event will include:
-- 4 p.m. Optional campus tours
-- 5 p.m. Program begins
-- 5:30 p.m. Academic Meetings with Faculty
-- 6:15 p.m. Dinner
-- 7 p.m. Optional "After-Dark" tours

Advanced registration is required.

Spring Open House
Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9 a.m., Student Union Building

Prospective students and their families are invited to explore Penn State opportunities. Meet with faculty and current students, tour the campus, and learn about the value of a Penn State degree.

The event will include a welcome from Chancellor Gary B. Keefer, a presentation on Penn State, information on how to apply, and a tour of campus. Participants will also get to sit in on a college class, with choices ranging from business and chemistry to information technology and engineering.

Tours by current Penn State Beaver students will introduce students and their families to all campus facilities, including the residence and dining halls, gymnasium, library, and student services and academic buildings. Tours will conclude with Penn State Creamery Ice Cream.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with refreshments. The program begins promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Accepted Student Brunch
Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9 a.m., Student Union Building

Meet with faculty, staff, and students over brunch and learn more about the steps you'll need to take between accepting your offer of admission and your first day of class. You'll even be able to pay your acceptance fee while you're here. 

The event will include:
-- 9 a.m. Registration
-- 9:30 a.m. Chancellor's Welcome
-- 9:45 a.m. Academic Meetings with Faculty
-- 10:30 a.m. Information Program
-- 11 a.m. Brunch in the Bistro
-- 11:45 a.m. Campus Tours
-- 12:30 p.m. Penn State Creamery Ice Cream

Individual Visits
Visits can be scheduled anytime. To set up your appointment, contact the Admissions Office at 1-877-JOIN-PSU or br-admissions@psu.edu.

A campus visit is the best way to make a college decision. Visiting a college campus helps you familiarize yourself with student life, the academic programs offered, and the college's overall campus and facilities. After visiting a college campus, you are better prepared to make a decision as to whether that campus is right for you. We look forward to you visiting Penn State Beaver soon!

From September through April, the Admissions and Student Aid Office at Penn State Beaver schedules appointments and campus tours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the months of May through August, the office is open until 5 p.m.  In addition, we're also open the first Saturday of the month, October through December and February through May, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
